Chocolate chip cookies and the meaning of life!

About Me

Well, there are a few things in life that are important to me. And I hate to be cliche, but chief among them is chocolate chip cookies. My mom's are still the best, but I am willing to consider challengers to the throne.I also like homemade ice cream. This is a little more tricky to come by these days. When I am not thinking about chocolate chip cookies or homemade ice cream I like to play my guitar. If that does not impress you... I can also juggle.
I am originally from the Midwest and came out here many moons ago to work in the film industry. I decided that I didn't make a good slave, so I went into the law and later into various and sundry business ventures, which take up a lot of my time when I am not eating chocolate chip cookies.I like to write and read well written prose (even if it is not about chocolate chip cookies). And from reading this you can see there is a lot of room for improvement.I could write more about chocolate chip cookies, but I'll end with this simple thought."Relationships are like chocolate chip cookies, good in small doses!"

Austin or Autumn? (a short story)

David Fitzgerald felt it and so did his wife, although neither would admit it. Instead they chose to live quietly in the suburbs lost in thought. Only the calendar marked the passing of time. ...

Blind ambition.

Before I became Mystery Cookie I was a full time dream chaser. I used to sit at my mom's dresser and stack blank sheets of paper, align pens and pencils, and carefully position a big metal stapler i...

Giuliani. An abortion doctors best friend?

Rudy Giuliani is the Corleone's leading candidate for President of the United States. Although Mr. Giuliani is a likeable guy with plenty of charisma I believe his political views, which served him...

Good credit, bad credit? No problem!

"Unlike other segments of the economy, there's no price competition for credit in the mortgage arena. When the bureaus say they want more, you pay more." Kenneth R. Harney, Washington Post.________...

Weapons of Mass Destruction.

It's not surprising that both the Corleones (Republicans) and the Gambinos (Democrats) are doing their best to create a political spectacle of Iraq. The Gambinos claim they voted to go to war but w...

Hate.

One of the things I've always struggled with is hate. It's a very strong and potent emotion. Entire nations have built armies on hatred alone. The only problem with hate as a motivator and springboa...

Serenity.

I've always loved the stories of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn. Even before I had read them I'd stumbled upon the idea of hitting the road in search of an adventure. And that's why when I was almo...

Hell hath no friends.

I've been accused of attempting to scare people into belief in God. And more specifically readers have used hell as a good example. I've never intentionally done this, but it's interesting that it c...

The bad man.

The legal system is focused on the bad man. And by that I mean they create laws in order to keep the bad man in check. They always ask this question, "What would the bad man do?" The problem wi...
