The Hyads

About Me

The Hyads are a rare breed, a distillation of pure rock n roll with post punk influences fuelled by three contrasting but complimentary song writing styles , they have reached the point where their set is overloaded with modern classics in the waiting! From sharp two minute explosions to crowd pleasing epics , there is something for everyone.
The Hyads in the last twelve months have toured relentlessly throughout the UK and with an already established loyal local following are beginning to create a buzz around themselves by working continually to set a trail up and down the land the fruits of this labour are now being enjoyed. Having played support to the likes of Mani & primal scream, Alabama 3, The View, Maximo Park, The Wombats, The Stranglers, Dreadzone, Pete Donnigan, one night only and Blackbud all from word of mouth or demo's passed on. The Hyads have also won acclaim from local and national media, having been played on radio one by Zane Lowe, this is all aiding to gain great interest. The Hyads have also had songs appear in soundtracks to accompany film projects the most recent being 'A Walk In The Park' made by the same company who produce channel four's 'Dispatches'. So as you can see the hyads are 'the band the world is waiting for'!
'superb!... very catchy tunes!'
'It feels something akin to a poke in the eye, a slap in the face and a big smile in your ears all at the same time, And that's a recommendation, by the way'. . . . 'This is what rock n roll is all about!' - Manchester Evening News'
'A storming set.....original, authentic and left everyone wanting more' - Liverpool Echo
'The best 'unsigned' band in the country!'
'At last, the next big local band has arrived!!' - The Crack, Newcastle
'Superb, I cant wait to see this band go on and on' - The South London Press
' Bloody brilliant . . rock 'n' roll at it's best by far!' 'Where did this lot come from ? . . . proper rock 'n' roll; loud, fast and bloody brilliant. Welcome back in this city anytime . . .' - Glasgow Herald
' Stunning. Had an impact at the academy that only the likes of the arctic monkeys have had recently . . . the difference being nobody here had heard of them befrore they went on stage. We have now.' So as you see from the plaudits The Hyads are receiving , come and get em!
