Kavorka, the Latvian term for the lure of the animal, has been known to cause insanity as well as eccentric behaviour. Those possessing kavorka are the pinnacles of style and grace....
Presented by the Latvian League of Luscious Ladies, Kavorka Kaos was born of the desire to create a night of loose hipped booty shaking to cheeky, playful tunes selekted by our favourite djs whilst surrounded by our favourite most mischievious circles of friends.
The Kavorka mandate: to guarantee a night of pure posterior shaking joy; to pay well the selektors who supply the aural goods; to make booties shake, not $$s; to be unrestricted by genre of 'crew', fashion, music (electronica, electro, techno, dub, reggae, breaks, grime, tekhaus...& beyond...); to bring out the Kavorka in each and every one of you.
So far we have been spoiled by the likes of Dom Hogan, DJ Delay/ Brian May, humdrum, Pixleton, Simon Slieker and Digital Primate (Chris Coe) which should give you an idea of the sort of mischief we get up to ;-)
Kavorka is not driven by anything other than a wish to create great events for your visual, aural and other sensory pleasure. It is a night that brings punters & musicians together in spaces and places where there is an openness, a spaciousness, an excitement, a joy....think of it as a paddock integration project...segue via the kavorka to other green pastures, the ones you know are there but your own paddock seems sufficiently comfortable or you're not quite sure where the gap in the fence is to expand your repetoire of fine folk.
