About Me

B. Sheba is an Ethiopian-Eritrean rapper from the Washington, D.C. area, known for her probing lyrics, quick witted delivery and smooth cadence. B. Sheba's love for music and dance started at a very young age in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia where she attended an international school and took part in school productions like "Oliver!" and "The Tree That Held Up The Sky." After completing her studies at the University of Maryland, College Park as a Government and Political Science major, she joined the corporate world, working as a Organizational Change Manager for Halliburton/KBR. Frustrated with the drugery of office life, she penned her first song, "Babylon Blues" on a plane while commuting between Houston and D.C. In 2007, she left her job to pursue music full time. Since then, she has worked with stic.man of Dead Prez, D.J. P Cutta and has an upcoming collaboration with Tabi Bonney. She is currently working on her debut album, "Hello World", and is also Executive Producer of the Kafa Beanz "Andromeda" Project.
Kafa Beanz is an Ethiopian-American Artist's Collective that includes Burntface, BSheba, AP, Gabriel Teodros, Wayna, Tex Boogie and Hermela Mulatu. This latest effort is a Fusion of Ethio Hip Hop & Neo Soul. Stay tuned for more projects and performances from this group.
