With this clearly embedded in their young minds, rap duo Point Blank has not only emerged as a new force in the current rap game, but also solidified their spot for the future.
Point Blank is comprised of rappers Anthony Poole (Ice the Villain) and Chandler Haynes (Chainz). Rhyming together since 2001, Ice and Chainz are only 20 and 21 years old, respectively. Taking pride in their incredibly witty and thought-provoking lyrics, this new breed of rappers exude a swagger and confidence unparalleled in todays copycat hip-hop scene.
The duo started as high school friends in the Washington, DC metro area after relocating from other parts of the country. This fateful union led to countless days of cafeteria freestyle sessions and tons of awestruck spectators, both students and faculty alike. Were show-stoppers. Weve been that way since high school and dont plan on slowing down any time soon! says Ice. Chainz reinforces that notion, half-jokingly stating, Your best bet is for us to go last!
Well received by all who hear them, Point Blank has managed to gain a fan base spanning from adolescents to grandparents. This universal charisma is the driving force in their movement. We feel like we can appeal to anyone, says Ice, no matter of age, race, or sex our music will touch you. Chainz explains how they accomplish this in a proverbial ying-yang manner, Ice is so much different from me, but fundamentally were the same. You can feel that in our tracks.
