Mansion Kingdom is a physical and metaphorical meeting place for a variety of experimental hip hop artists who have collaborated on some of the most influential and controversial compositions in hip hop today. Mansion Kingdom has played host to such enigmatic artists as
CoCo Butta and
MC Arrr & the Mateys, as well as gathering infamous hip hop mavericks under its own flag as the
MK-17 ensemble.
Mixing the best of Dirty South's raw energy with the languid and sprawling soundscapes of the West Coast, the Mansion Kingdom artists continue to elude classification and smash through musical boundaries. Time magazine once wrote "Mansion Kingdom is simultaneously the best and worst thing that has happened to hip hop, if not all music, since the invention of sound."..
