Lucky, Bobo and Ronnie, the three former components, friends since youngsters, began to play together from the ’60’s. During the following 15 years they gave birth to various bands, among which there have been quite a few well known in Rome’s musical scene such as: the "Flashes", a band that performed in the most important clubs in and out town and, first of all the famous "Piper Club", the Icebergs (Winners of the First Edition of "Canta-Lazio" contest), Tsuru, Jaguars, Delta, Route 66. After that, they aged their own musical experiences moving in the U.K., U.S. and Australia.In 1985 they met again in Rome and, along with other musicians they created TEXARKANA. They perform ever since all over Italy in Guest Ranches, Rodeos, Beer Festivals, Western Mounting shows, Harley-Davidson meetings, Beer & Line Dance Festivals, Far West, Horses and Motorbike’s events. Some magazines wrote about them as a very high quality country band that filled like no-one, an important gap in the Italian music scene. The band also took part to many T.V. programmes.TEXARKANA plays country music & western used for "Line Dance", the Cow Boys dance. Again, TEXARKANA has been also frequently called to perform at various events organized by the English Speaking communities as well as for Fashion Shows.During the last two years TEXARKANA has been invited to represent Italy at a couple of the oldest and most prestigious European Country Music Festivals. In 2004 at Pik Nik Country Music Festival held in Mragowo, Poland, by wish of the Country Music Guest Star, Billy Joe Shaver and his band, TEXARKANA played with them in a jam-session receiving compliments also from his lead guitarist Mick Taylor former component of the Rolling Stones. In 2005 at Munchen in Germany and at Sulomino in Poland, at the 8th Western Pik Nik Festival, where groups from all Europe partecipated, Texarkana, Wayne Law and Lonstar were the Superstars Guests.During the 2005 summer Texarkana has been called to play as country musicians on the movie set of the famous italian director Sorrentino "L’amico di famiglia" (The Family Friend), thanks to their particular musical genre. The movie is arranged in the country music world and Texarkana performs with the main singer actress and appears in the Line Dance scenes.Texas Drover Record in Dallas is about to distribute Texarkana 1st album in Texas, Arizona, New Mexico and California.
