About Me

EP3 IS READYCoyote are Timm Sure and Ampo. Timm and Ampo met in 1990 where both were on the same DJ line up at one of the UKs most seminal clubs, the club was Venus in Nottingham.Coyote working with Saro Tribastone, a flamenco guitarist from Sicily, as heard on the mediterranean vibes of "bongo beach". Is it Balearic?DMC Zzub Chart Number 1KRIS NEEDS DMC Update: April 18th So ask Timm and Ampo from Unity Crescent while naming their new record label and the answer is a resounding affirmative. The aim is simple: to release unashamed beach-lolling dub-funk epics which make perfect sense when the sun's going down. 'Pretty Wasted' sets out their stall with slo-mo groove, pattering bongos, reverbed vocals and a deliciously intoxicating vibe. 'Beat Journey' recalls early Weatherall while 'Blue Skies' follows the same dreamy path. The latter also enjoys a remix by Bare Fist producer Phoreski, who injects an unexpected but surprisingly effective, not to mention original, raft of Russian strings and piano. Undoubtedly one of the major records of the summer.IDJ Magazine "Is It Balearic" Ask producers Timm Sure & Ampo as they launch their own label. "Quite possibly" we answer. The Three original tracks here are certainly deep, cosmic and trippy, all slo-mo 4/4 beats, trippy synths and occasional bongo licks. If you have a scruffy beard and think Daniel Baldelli is god, then this is for you - especially Phoreski's ludicrously smacked-out rework of "Blue Skies" 4 stars*Balearic record of the week commencing 7th May "Picadilly Records" "; I edited my profile at Freeweblayouts.net , check out these Myspace Layouts!

Sounds Like: Balearic maestros Coyote haven't made a song, they've crafted an otherwordly dreamworld of lush Kraftwerkian beauty, an aural escalator which climbs into the sky and through those sweet clouds where Aphex Twin and Brian Eno sit in the lotus position sewing ambient tapestries or recreations of Nirvana, further out into the space beyond where instead of sidereal cold you feel eternal warmth, as if angels & cherubs where embracing your tired bones, hanging a hammock between two stars and laying your body there so you can enjoy some well-deserved rest from the oft unbearable greyness that is reality.COYOTE 'EP 2' (IS IT BALEARIC?) They've done it again! Coyote are one of the few outfits unafraid to plug into the original Balearic vibe of soul-soothing tranquility and chilled joy, without overcooking or just sounding daft. Timm Sure and Ampo were part of Unity Crescent and their latest incarnation steers right onto Salinas Beach at sunset but works equally as well on what sunny afternoons do pop up at home. 'Crazy World' is a boogie-based groover flecked with acid while 'Eve' features Sicilian flamenco guitarist Saro Tribastone amidst a wash of warmth and smiles. 'Too Hard' relaxes even further with bongos and sonic breezes, coming with a sublimely shimmering piano-dominated remix from Eskimo's Aeroplane, The whole thing's an all-round timeless beauty.KRIS NEEDSRob Da bank (Sunday Best / The Blue Room - Worldwide) 'Coyote very good too and will play on the show'Bill Brewster (fabric // faith // low life etc - london) 'Crazy World is very good. 'Clive Craske (Big Chill Sundae (Big Chill Bar), Reverb Roadshow (various Brighton venues), Glastonbury Festival (Glade stage) - Brighton) 'With such a wide variety of tracks this EP is impossible to classify (a truly Balearic trait)! T1 is floor fodder T" is chilled out bliss and T3/T4 are something else. Coyote deserve to be huge - but are they just a bit too varied and unclassifyable for their own good? I hope not - respect is due!' Favourite Track / Mix: 2.
