I tend to like innovative and out of the ordinary music, often with a comedic slant (Comedy music probably being the least respected genres of music right now—it’s ok for television and movies to be funny, but not for songs? Who made that rule?). I also love covers/remakes, especially when they completely reinvent the original material. Oh, and I like many Musicals/Cast Albums, but again usually the more experimental or bizarre. But I also like “normal†music too.
Current: • The Simpsons • My Name is Earl • Amazing Race • Wonder Showzen (MUST SEE!!!! Very excited) • Ebert and Roeper (Get Well Soon) • Family Guy ************************* Classic: • Buffy the Vampire Slayer / Angel (I used to scoff at the show too. You need to see in order to appreciate. Hard to believe, but actually one of the greatest shows ever) • Firefly • The Dick Van Dyke Show • Cheers • Twin Peaks • Soap • Amazing Stories • Arrested Development • Animaniacs • The Muppet Show • • Farscape • Six Feet Under • Futurama • Police Squad (in color) • H.R. I’m currently in the midst of a multi-year goal to read the entire Stephen King library in chronological order to fully experience the recently completed “Dark Tower†epic. But I’m mixing it up and reading something else for every other book, just so it’ll take twice as long. I also love the Harry Potter series (You can NOT judge the books on the movies), “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy†as well as the not-nearly-as-good follow-ups in Douglas Adams’ 5-part Hitchhiker Trilogy, and of course, you gotta love “Green Eggs and Hamâ€.
Mondays on NBC!!!!
