I began my career by [ experimenting ] with video imagery and [ directing ] short films ... Admittedly - my work was a little too ABSTRACT for the general public ... which was not necessarily a bad thing ... for I have always been somewhat [ suspicious ] of anything that garnered mass acceptance ... [ more often then not ] this can be attributed to CLEVER MARKETING ... as opposed to CREATIVE THINKING ... [ thus end-ith the lesson ] ... Consequently - I decided to set a new course for myself and focus my efforts on exploring the AURAL side of the equation ... where my KNOWLEDGE of music was EXTENSIVE - but my ABILITIES as a musician were LIMITED [ when it comes to this medium - I have always considered myself to be more of an IDEA MAN ] . Befittingly - for the past decade and a half - I have been PRODUCING music for a variety of artists ... whose styles run the gamut ... [ some well known - some not so well known ] ... and releasing material via my label - BONE MACHINE RECORDS - in the Florida panhandle . BONE MACHINE was inspired by the [ classic ] Tom Waits album of the same name ... as well as the album Surfer Rosa by The Pixies - which contains a track entitled : Bone Machine ~~~ Both projects were GROUNDBREAKING in their own right ... and taught me - as a producer - to disregard any pre-conceived notions of acceptability . MUSIC [ like any other art form ] contains NO RULES ... it is boundless and without limitations ... Accordingly ... even the most abrasive sound can be a beautiful thing --- It all depends upon the perception of the beholder ...I believe that HISTORY is most accurately defined and / or depicted by THE ART produced during any given time frame ... If you seek THE UNFILTERED TRUTH , that is where you will find it ...
