Initially formed by core members, Devin Frank and Jeremiah Kleinhans, Apollos Last Melody started as a pure acoustic act back in 2006. As a few band members priorities changed, so did the band. The co-founders Devin and Jeremiah, kept the band breathing by bringing in former band mate Jake onto guitar. It wasn’t until recently that they had completely restored the band with the addition of Rob, Tate and Kyle.
What was originally an acoustic group quickly developed to include a much wider set of textures. Always in a state of evolution and progress, the current sound mixes catchy melodies harmonized with 3 different screamers, with the distorted guitar duo assault. Combine that with flowing bass lines and top it off with complimenting drums, and you arrive at the latest sound Apollos Last Melody has evolved to. The current members continue to experiment and expand their sonic palette.
The six members of Apollos Last Melody find inspiration in a variety of musical genres including screamo, emo, alternative, classic rock, and classical, and their explorations into these varied styles result in their distinctly fresh sound. In just a short amount of time, they have already received radio airplay, played some of the biggest local venues, and they have also been featured in local newspapers and magazines.
