SMITH Richard Alvin Richard A. Smith, aka "Big Rich", age 23, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2008, at home. He was a member of Cornerstone Church and a 2002 graduate of Rogers High School. He was born to the union of Alvin and Teresa Smith on March 22, 1984. He leaves to cherish his memories, a special brother, Te'Rhan; parents, Alvin and Teresa; special nieces; grandmother, Alene Smith of Beckley, WV, and a host of other relatives and friends. Special thanks to Dr. Schott Schuetze and the Oncology Dept. at University of Michigan Hospital, Hospice of Northwest Ohio, caregivers, Debbie and Amber. Visitation Monday, March 17, 2008, 3:00-6:00 p.m. Family hour 11:00 a.m. followed by funeral at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at the House of Day Funeral Service Chapel.Diana Villanueva10/30/1987 — 11/10/2007Services will be Thursday for Tracy resident Diana S. Villanueva, 20, who died Saturday in a car accident.
Miss Villanueva was born in Toledo, Ohio, and lived in Tracy for three years. She was studying to be a nurse at the Institute of Technology in Modesto.
Miss Villanueva’s family remembers her as an outgoing, happy and energetic person. Her sister-in-law, Danielle Velazquez, said she wouldn’t have wanted anyone to cry for her. She never said goodbye but always said, “See you later.â€
Family members also said that her favorite word was “whatchamacallit.â€
She will be remembered by her friends and family as a loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend.
Miss Villanueva is survived by her mother, Diana A. Galicia of Tracy; and two brothers.
Thursday’s vigil service will begin at 7 p.m. at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave. Visitation will be observed from 2 to 7 p.m. Thursday, also at the chapel. Additional services and interment will be at a later date in Mexico.
