Mob Mentality : Behind the Music............................................
Mob Mentality is a band that was formed in times of turmoil and uprising. James Jarosil met Jon Irwin after an intensive arm wrestling match on an underage girls back, and established a bond and a friendship that would develop through music. James, originally playing the jug on the local band circuit, and Jon being an extremely talented triangle user and abuser, formed a band and decided to call it Mob Mentality after a riot in their hometown claimed the lives of both of the young musicians families. Down but not discouraged the boys pursued shows at any opportunity they could and eventually discovered that the jug/triangle bands were on there way out, and in order to stay up with the times they needed something with more edge. James decided to pick up the guitar, which he dubbed his 6 string thing and Jon was soon playing the drums which he found a passion and inspiration in from other legendary drummers such as Joseph Stalin, Peter Sellers and both Ebert and Roeper. After a relatively successful gig, the boys met a local bum and bass player in an alleyway which was where he proposed the idea of joining the band. Although the already existing members of Mob Mentality were well aware of the fact that the bass guitar is an instrument about as useful as a condom on an infertile woman, they liked the bum and related well with him as they all had serious alcohol abuse problems. The boys accepted the bum who called himself Jesse and Mob Mentality as it is known today was formed. Today the band looks forward to new experiences, more shows, traveling, and foursomes.
