Too many of us stay walled up because we are afraid of being hurt . We are afraid to care too much, for fear that the other person does not care at all.Our doubts are traitors and make us lose the good we often might win, by fearing to attempt.
Death used to announce itself in the thick of life but now people drag on so long it sometimes seems that we are reaching the stage when we may have to announce ourselves to death. It is as though one needs a special strength to die, and not a final weakness.
Best friends: it's a promise not a label.
Sometimes We think about how much we want something and it corrupts who we are. We think that what we have is just not enough and we are blinded to what truly matters. Its not the momentary pain or success that brings us happiness and fulfillment. It's the lasting affect that one thing had on us. We so frequently ask for instant gratification when all we really want is something to hold us over to the next second. Yet if we keep doing this and fail to accomplish the greater things in life then we live a lie. A false life in which a robot can live. One that only has temporary goals to allow it to exist. When you want to do something so bad it may actually kill you....then you finally know that you are doing something to better yourself.
I Shut my eyes in order to see
Your Beautiful Eyes Looking Back At Me
I open my heart and think of you
I hope yours is open to all of me too
Since I saw your gorgeous face
My whole existence has found its place
for I truly don't know what I'd do
if I lost the chance of meeting you.
And as the night replaces day,
As All of our hope fades away.
Reminiscing of maladaptive times,
Where our true feelings felt out of line.
So as the night turned to day,
The hourglass came to say,
"You've had your chance a million times again
yet feelings are still trapped like sin.
And now my sands have run their course
But your love shows no remorse.
So why do you torment your soul this way?
All you need to do is say,
"I've loved you since the day we met
I just haven't told you yet.
I've felt the time just pass us by,
Always asking myself "Why?
Why don't you just speak your mind
And see if her soul is remotely kind?
Maybe she loves the way you dance;
the way you laugh and take a chance.
Maybe she loves the way you smile
Spreading warmth all the while.
Maybe she just needs you there
to scratch her back or stroke her hair.
Maybe you make her feel alive,
So go ahead and take the dive.
If you hit a rock and a harder place,
Just look to friends for saving grace.
She may not understand it yet,
But I promise you...she'll never forget.
Never forget the way you cared,
Or looked away when she simply stared.
Or hugged her when she needed a friend,
Or stuck with her until the very end.
She'll never forget those things you did
When you still were just a kid.
But times haven't changed but we have in lieu,
So maybe she's better off without you too....
