I don't Know there is things about me that still surprises me!!!!..
I was born in Cuba and my name is "Everlayn." For those who
have always asked me and for you that don't know me...It's not
my artistic name and I didn't what so ever make it up! This name
is a real product of the beautiful, out of focus older Lady's working
at the hospital when I was born. They probably where gossiping
(chismeando) about some real good dramatic Cuban shit!!!!!!.
My Mom says it was supposed to be "Everlyn" because after a friend
of a friend of a friend that told my cousins father he saw that name
on an American film way back before Castro, when Cuba was free!!!!!
So I asked myself..okay great story but where the hell did the (a) come
from, you guys? Maybe they were talking about (Que clase h(a)mbre
tenian?) at the momemt they wroted it? For those English speakers
(h(a)mabre) means (hunger)...anyhow my amazing mom managed to
correct everyone in the beginning and went her way to fix the mess.
She had no luck. You should know that in a communist country she
probably needed to see about 100 people of a legal revolutionary Cuban
constitution before she'd get proof. Of course she only got to 50 in
about a year, so she said....Oye que va caballero!! Pa carajo!!!!!

Even changing your name in Cuba is not easy!!! It doesn't matter if you
were just born!!!
