About Me
Paula, like every great singer or diva, has been singing since the young age of 3. In her past, there was a time of when she was in the middle of a big stage, dressed as a little white bunny, where the crowd waited anxiously for her to sing the highest note of the song. With surprised faces, the viewers applauded her excellence and confidence, as her mother remembers. Now, her audience looks at her with the same passion, simplicity, and confidence that she had when she was younger. The only difference is that singing and performing is her profession.
Paula was born in Viña Del Mar, Chile, January 1st of 1986. She lived in Chile until she was 7 years old, then moved with her family to the United States in 1993. Keeping her family values, customs, and religion all at heart, and close to her family, Paula has evolved into a girl unlike any other. Her father has always believed that she had what she needed to succeed to become the singer she always dreamed of being. With his inspiration and help, Paula has made that dream come to reality. When Paula graduated high school, she chose to take the toughest road to one of the hardest careers to persue. "I never saw myself doing anything else, I've always thought of myself being different from the rest of the crowd" Paula quotes. Paula has been singing, recording, and performing for almost 4 years, and with over 60 original songs, we can say that Paula is in the right path to succeed.
Sacrificing is always the hardest thing to do in any situation, and that is exactly what she has been doing in the difficult age, where social life is a priority to many young adults. She studies with The Music, Dance, & Acting (MDA) Academy, owned by Maiten Montenegro, a famous actress in Chile. At MDA Paula took different classes such as acting, dancing, vocal training, and interpretation. Paula has participated in many events such as being the winner of 2004's Latin Idol held in West Palm Beach, Florida. She was featured and invited 3 times to TeleMiami's TV show "Noche de Estrellas", interviewed by a local music show in Palm Beach County called DSI, interviewed by www.vamoschile.com, and many internet radio stations. Paula has performed for many different festivals and events such as "Miss Hispanidad" in Miami filmed by Univision, performed with the original "James Brown Band", and was invited to perform at an event for Joseph Jackson's Birthday, and Lisa "Left eye" Lopes' charity event. Her popularity also landed her a gig in South Beach in the well-known restaurant "Macarena-Antigua".
In all the great opportunites she has come across, writing her songs and making her music has been the best experiences for Paula. She has worked with different producers such as Blaze Hunter, Omar "Keyz" Leslie, Vinny Venditto, Bridge, and Manny Benito, whom he has produced and written songs for Jennifer Lopez, Christina Aguilera, Mariah Carey, Chayanne, Paulina Rubio, Marc Anthony, and Celine Dion. Paula also partly owns an indie record label called MPM Records with her mother and father. With all these great experiences that she has come across in her life, Paula knows that she will be a singer that will make history internationaly and for decades.
