Born December 28th 1990 One-Hundred Percent Italian Breed, on a cold winter night the new hero of Hip- Pop Music was introduced to the world, that one day he would once conquer and inspire. Professionally known as Ya Boy Zi but to his lovely family, he is just little Michael Zuccarelli playing under the Christmas tree with his toy action figures and CD player headset. Little did his family know that CD player headset that was given as a gift and would spark an interest in music entertainment and would become a House Whole name and gift to the world of Music to soon appreciate.
Raised by his beautiful mother, Olimpia Zuccarelli (Single Parent) and grandparents Ralph and Francis Zuccarelli. Zi was instilled with morals and God reverence qualities that would play a major part in his career abd also providing a loyal and honorable person in the world of business and relationship. Taught to put God 1st and to never quit on your goals. Mom always said "I dont care what you do, just be the best at it. I dont care if you become a sales man, just be the best sales man there ever was", knowing her son was destined for greatness. So Michael took that advice and ran with it, studying some of our favorites and his influences such as Michael Jackson, Tyrese Gibson, Will Smith, Wyclef Jean, Lauryn Hill, Run DMC, Wanda De Jesus and also anybody who defied the odds and was told they would never make it. Inspired by the greats, Michael found his own niche, merging and cultivating Hip Hop with Pop Music, forming his own genre known now as Hip-Pop.
In his growing pain years, not having the presence of his father, scarred him but it did not stop him from reaching for greater surroundings and friends. In middle school, Michael ran into a few friends that would help groom his craft as a Hip Pop artist, Rashard Beast Mode Hermeney & Bari TKO Hooper. It was a rocky start for Michael, with lots of haters and doubters criticizing and telling him he is not going to make it, but Michael saw it differently. Michael discovered his musical talent during his 7th Grade middle school year of 2003/04, spitting rhymes in the hall ways and locker rooms, writing came later in 2006 when he ran into Blaze Hunter aka "The Ninth Wonder of the Universe", and CEO of Syxx Entertainment. Blaze would then take him under his wing, later joining Syxx Entertainment as an artist. Blaze Hunter is responsible helping Michael become the star he is today. From writing him songs, to long vigorous practices, countless hours of studio recording. Michael recorded his first professional song with Blaze Hunter known as "My Story". Michael took all these teachings from Blaze and found a writer and performer within himself, stamping and sealing his very own sound.
Later, year 2008, after a year of heavy development, he released his first debut mix-tape/street album called Rookie of 08. Getting the word out there that he was present and relevant. From Palm Beach to the sandy beaches of Miami, Florida, Michael passed out and sold the 10,000 pressed copies of his proud work of art. Performing in the local clubs of Palm Beach to Miami, whether it was open mic or a free gig, mom and pop shop, block party, Ya Boy Zi did it as it came with a no quit attitude. On his hands and feet, faith in God, the help of friends, and the Syxx Entertainment family his sound was now present in the streets and the homes of many eager hearts. Wishing to captivate the hearts and minds of the listener, which is you, the 1 fan. After that he would not be recognized as just a kid, but now as a HipHop/Pop recording artist.
Michael is now working with some of the most recognized names in the music industry today! He has earned respect and has a good team behind him ready to back him up.
Now with his image and style present, spot light shined on him delightfully, it was his time. This would soon lead to his next level of growth in the business aspects of things. In 2010 Michael worked on sealing a long fought deal with the legendary credited music group known as Universal Music Group. A joint venture with his supporting labels. Early year 2010. His single(s) Tick Tock featuring Truly Paula and Vibin released on iTunes, Amazon, Rhapsody, Napster, etc. through the distribution of Universal Music Group. The release of his first debut album Hip-Pop to the world is coming soon. His goal is to release a world-wide recognized album. Zi is looking to expand dramatically over the next couple of years. Exploring the world of acting and modeling as well. Looking for bigger and better, always keeping it moving as he prepares for tours and humanitarian adventures of helping the less fortunate.
