The music brought us together and it's the music that inspires us; Fluency was born of a mutual love and respect for dance music. It's been four years since we first played together as a favour to a mate and the bassline hasn't stopped rolling, being spotted at DJ competition in Turnmills and signed to OvenReady Productions pretty much immediately, paved the way to our adventures in Clubland.
It was never intended as a career move, we never thought doing what you love the most could actually become a career, but as we steam through 2007 with our residency OOOFridazed @ The Tabernacle, plus regular guest slots for Abstract @ EGG and Locked In @ Meet our ever packed diary is on the road to capacity!
From Piccadilly to Poland, Egham to Egypt, Islington to Israel, Fluency have played all over the world in all manner of clubs, the dark and dingy, the al fresco festivals and the the clubs that define dance music today; The Key, Egg, Pacha, Privilege. Just this year we branched out into radio shows and, due to popular demand, we plan to hit the studio in order to lay the Fluency DJs sound onto vinyl...
We embrace each gig with the same energy and enthusiasm, that passion for the music that is blatantly apparent in our sets; we don't believe in pre-planning the program - it's all about reading and reacting to the crowd. We both have very open minds when it comes to tune selection; which is why you can expect to hear anything from all manners of house to disco to electro to breaks, all finely blended to create fluency's unique audio cocktail.
We are passionately in love with, and addicted to, the music . The reactions we get from the international dancefloors of clubland only fuels our desire to play 'just one more...' and as long as you lot still want it, we Fluency DJs are going to carry on giving it!
