About Me

Hello my lovelies! My name is shelley. I am a social worker. I live in Auckland. I like to craft. I don't usually make such short statements in real life. I really like roman sandals (especially my red ones). I like to surround myself with music and would always rather be at the movies than anywhere else. If you give me avocado on toast, take me to a gig or make me something, I will be your friend forever. I get bored with things easily and have a short attention span (which is why I always change my hair/amount of piercings/myspace page/everything). I can't whistle or wink, which you may want to laugh at. I REALLY like sandwiches. I take great pride in my CD collection, which may be organised alphabetically and chronologically within artist, but that's just a rumour I've heard. I'm marginally obsessed with accessories (particularly sunglasses)... I like the word 'oxymoron'. I'm the best procrastinator I know. I like simple things like nice smells which remind me of things, walking outside, cooking nice food, doing things for others, being organised, day dreaming, hoarding stuff, making stuff, watching/reading about/listening to music, and thinking about travelling. I definitely don't have it all figured out, but I'm pretty opinionated/stubborn/passionate about a few different things. I'm a nice person (my Mum told me so). One day I am going to start playing the drums again and live my dream of being a social worker/musician/music journalist (cue: career change) in spare time.

My Interests

Music, films, films about music, sewing, stenciling, making stuff, dancing, moshing, cooking, indoor netball, walking, running, trying to find money to buy CDs and books

I'd like to meet:

Brian Tamaki. So I can slap him. Not that I condone violence, so I would probably just sit him down and give him a good talking-to. Also, myself in five or ten years time... I hate surprises. Although, sometimes I love them. This may, therefore, be best described as a 'love/hate relationship'. I know stuff. Honestly. Did you know that pound for pound, there's more sugar in lemons than in strawberries?... People who want to come to this:Go on. I think you should.

Television:

Greys Anatomy! The characters are inherently flawed, McDreamy is the hottest man in the world, and the show includes characters of 'minority' ethnicities and cultural backgrounds but addresses this in a non-direct way. And I also like ..aries. And Little Britain. And The Office. Are you my Arthur? Say you are.

Ahhhhhh! ah! Ahhhhhhhhhh!

When life hands you lemons...

Put them in a mug of hot water, add a little honey and pass it to me. And then maybe give me a cuddle. Thanks.
