The Madison Press are one of New Zealand's most exciting new indie bands. They formed at the end of 2005 and in their first year have already notched up some major achievements with over 2 recording and video grants from NZonAir as well as becoming recipients of phase 3 of the Coke Music fund, a gear sponsorship in conjunction with the Rockshop to the tune of $12K.
They have already attracted attention from major radio stations like ZM, The Rock and Kiwi FM, who put their first NZonAir funded single, 'Dont Say Anything', on normal rotation. Their second, 'Fighting Fire With Fire' was recorded with UK producer, Greg Haver - well known for his work with the Manic Street Preachers, Catatonia, Lost Prophets, Bullet for my Valentine and Super Furry Animals amongst (many) others - and will be released with a new video in October.
The band have been back in the studio with Greg in October and are already planning another session early next year to finish their debut album, which they plan to release early next year.
