It's 2008 so I decided to change my profile. My name is Robyn (aka Byrd), I am originally from Cambria Heights, NY and am of Caribbean descent (Bahamians stand up!). I am a full time make-up artist and part-time writer./
As a make-up artist, much of my time is spent working on tv/dvd commentary, independent film and tv . I have also worked on PSAs, done make-up for celebs attending The Academy Awards, The Tree of Life Awards and countless movie premieres. Late last year I worked on a show called Spitfire set to air on Iamhiphop.com. Some celebrities I have worked on are Quincy Jones, Stephen Spielberg, Carl Lumbly, Michael Bay,Rachel Nichols, Iyanla Vanzant, Russ Parr, Sandra Crouch,Darrin Henson, Sharen Davis (costumer),Gina Torres, Claudia Jordan, Kellita Smith, Tamala Jones, Tavis Smiley, John Salley,MC Lyte and Spinderella just to name a few. I really enjoy doing character (cuts, bruises, burns, beards) make-up which is why I chose to concentrate on tv and film rather than print and fashion. I also love working on the everyday woman who doesn't fall for the media hype and recognizes her own beauty./
I write songs (and have been for a long while-see Winds of Change Music), late last year I completed my first novel (sending out query letters now-pray for a sister) and am currently working on a sequel.
