Bev Da Bronxbabe's Neighborhood

About Me

Born and bred in Da Bronx (Best place to grow up in the 50's) and also lived in Queens, Long Island and Levittown and Westbury. All New York. No matter where I live, I AM A NEW YORKER! In 1976 a young, good looking and very talented bass player came into my life and stayed for many years. His name was Kevin Keane (The Bass machine)Kevin was just coming off the "Children of The World" BeeGees tour. He hooked up with Frank Carillo and they had a great hit album entitled "Rings Around The Moon" Poor Kev passed away very prematurely in 1997.I have been involved in one way or another in the music industry since 1976. My website tells it all. Check it out. The URL is www.bronxbabe.com . And also please check out my youngest Son Matt at http://www.newyorkstreetgames.com He is currently in production on a film about New York Street games. I am very proud of him. I, also have a cameo in it. He has numerous New York celebrities appearing in it. Ray Romano, Regis Philbin and way too many to mention here. Check out his site also. My Interests

I love seeing horror flicks (love going to movies), Doowop Music, going to rock concerts! I have been "Clean and Sober" since Oct.23rd., 1989 and proud of it. Still make meetings on a daily basis and I am able to give back what was so freely given to me by God! Have loads of great friends and stay real busy. Going to work out in the gym every morning so I keep this old broads body in good shape.

I'd like to meet:

Folks I would like to meet would probably be Al Pacino (Bronx boy),Stephen Baldwin, Neil Young, Ken Wahl (Wiseguy), Gary Marshall,Harvey Keitel and maybe even some bright New York broads like Barbara Streisand. I am very deep into my "Bronx Roots" Martin Scorsese is yet another New York personality that I admire. As you can plainly see, all New Yorkers with the exception of Mr. Neil Young.
.. - Get Your Own

Music:

I love all music from the 50's to the 80's...Not too thrilled about 90's or the "now" generation. I am a huge Neil Young fan. Have almost all of his music. 1. The Band 2. Pink Floyd 3. The Doors 4. The Eagles (especially Timothy Schmidt)5. Allman Brothers (Greg Allman)6. Hall & Oates 7. Stones 8. Rod Stewart. 9. Dion (Bronxboy) But I also love the Backstreet Boys, Nsync and Los Lonely Boys, so I am not "stuck" in the past. LOL!

Movies:

Old movies such as "On The Waterfront" with the late great Marlon Brando..."Picnic" with William Holden. "The Wanderers" with Ken Wahl(my friend Anton was also in the movie) and I just love horror flicks too! No mushy girlie stuff for this Old Bronx Broad!

Television:

I loved the old "Wiseguy" series with Ken Wahl (such a hottie) 1. CSI Vegas 2. Dancing With The Stars 3. Eureka 4. Numbers 5. Supernatural 6. Sci-Fi station because I love monster flicks. 7. Special Unit 2. Always was the tomboy!

Books:

1. The Bible 2. "Big Book" 3. And for fiction, all Stephen King books. All PC magazines..I am a computer geek!

Heroes:

Jesus, my God, my Mom, Bill Wilson, Dr. Bob, my 3 kids who have put up with me thru some very tough and wild years. Now I am proudly "Clean & Sober" for 18 plus years. God has done for me what I could not do for myself!
