Dresden Sky's core duo is Erin Gignac and Marc Bertrand, two talented and versatile artists whose contemporary approach to folk music is as invigorating as it is innovative. A shared interest in the creation and performance of music unites the two young artists, and an interest in its exploration drives their musical career. Together they create melodic songs from the sweetly ethereal to the slightly warped, often featuring beautiful male-female harmonies. Dresden Sky's EP has been featured on South by Southwest on CHYR-FM, CJAM and CBC Radio's Fresh Air.
During their first Western Canadian Tour, they were described as "the Dylan and Baez of our generation" by the Nanaimo News Bulletin.
Dresden Sky is currently recording a full-length album and playing shows with the talents of Brandon Sylvestre ( http://naturallyatrest.com/brandon ) on percussion and Duncan Booth ( http://myspace.com/bunkerlonely ) on Bass (and any other instrument within his reach).
