If By Chance was formed by Ben Watts and Matt Bannister. Ben needed an outlet to help showcase his original music and wanted a band to help him do it. He already played in a band (The List) with Matt before so he asked him to play guitar. The two searched for a bassist and quickly found Billy Lyons. The three played together a few times, trying out different drummers, before finding Josh Rhine. After a while, Billy left to pursue other things. He was replaced with Bryan Hall. Once the new lineup was set, they recrafted their live show and the new If By Chance was born. IBC's music can be summed up in a single word, "Catchy". They have a wide variety of cover songs from Sublime to Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, and even A Flock of Seagulls. With original songs such as "Dreamer In You", "Again", "Wasted", and "Goodbye Today", you're sure to be humming them in your head on the way out of the venue.
