Beyond Tomorrow brings a new meaning to punk rock with a fusion of pop-punk and alternative rock that brings an entirely new experience to the music scene.
Ever since a huge wave of fan support catapulted Beyond Tomorrow into an opening spot for a capacity crowd at Bon Jovis Philips Arena Show via Atlanta radio station Star 94's Battle of the Bands, the outlook on the future is all but bleak for the pop/rock quintet from Athens, Ga.
Beyond Tomorrow began as the Acoustic duo of Steve Gagnier and Patrick Hoydar. The two became highly decorated on the Open Mic circuit, winning numerous shootouts and setting attendance records at the Washington Street Tavern.
After tacking on the respective drum and bass talents of Phil Goodwin and Alec Wooden in January 2005, Beyond Tomorrow was born in full.
With songs that range in sound from Jimmy Eat World to U2 to New Found Glory to Goo Goo Dolls, it's no wonder they insist that The key word is eclectic- a mix of acoustic power-pop, rock, and punk.
The groups first year saw rapidly growing popularity thanks to a rigorous playing schedule all over Athens , Ga, and other parts of the Southeast, all in support of their 5 Track EP.
The groups big break came in January at the now infamous Bon Jovi experience, where they were exposed to 21,000 fans and instantly began to reach new levels of popularity.
The lineup of the band changed again shortly thereafter, with the Keyboard talents of Michael Ellers added to the mix.
With all the pieces in place, Beyond Tomorrow hit the road for Chicago to record their first full-length album. Over the course of two weeks, the band laid down catchy guitar riffs, melodic vocal masterpieces, and soaring 3 and 4 part harmonies into their self-titled, debut LP that is ready to take the Athens and Southeastern music scene by storm.
Going from the basement of Washington Street Tavern to Philips Arena within their first year as a band, Beyond Tomorrow pride themselves on being a hard-working, self-promoting band, while remaining level-headed.
