During the winter of 2004-2005 Gaucho was founded by four friends who go a long way back. The band had led several crises in search of a suitable name but ended up with the powerful and thorough name: GAUCHO.In contrast to what its name would suggest, this band was not born in Argentina, but in its Belgian equivalent: Lombardsijde.Musical influences of "the four" are found in their own personal musical interests and tastes. These start with bands that travelled through the Nevada Desert or flew over the Indian Ocean from 1970 till now and is never ending.Gaucho finds an unhealthy inspiration in Stella Artois, Havana Club, grilled tuna or chateaubriand, Dr. Pepper, oceans all over the world, our daughters and chickas, Champions League football, cycling, the existentialism of Sartre, movies and so on.The members of Gaucho have a very wide view on life.
