About Me

*NEWS*:
Robie (bass) has decided to leave the band due to personal issues.
Wether we'll be replacing him, or start other projects will be decided later this month. Either way this means our shows in Antwerp and Brussels are canceled.
Thanks to everybody who showed interest by coming to our shows or booking us. Be sure to check out the members later on with other projects and bands.
Cheers!
------------------------------------------------------------ ----------
With their classic but original sound Magna Charta manages to keep you on the edge of your seat.
They are about the 60's and 70's, but know what to do with their influences, and create a new and colourful sound in these grey music-days.
The feel-good vibe is a big aspect, but nevertheless they manage to charm you with some deeper essence.
A short note...
Magna Charta is Latin for Great Charter and is considered one of the most important documents in the history of democracy and freedom, something some might still be looking for. A well-considered name it is for the band, for we try to find some sort of equilibrium in what we compose and play.
In 2007 the band got formed out of the ashes of Cruisin on majic carpets, Titty Twister and DarkMuddle.
After a few months, the band was asked to jam at the new Yellowstock festival. A name was chosen, and Magna Charta was a fact. After that they started playing cities like Antwerp, Leuven, Diest, Geel,... and were asked to share the stage with bands like Colour Haze, Hypnos69, Djengis Khan and 3speedAutomatic. Their first songs were recorded on 8track in october 2007, which resulted in a demo and some airplay on local radiostations.
See you out there,
Magna Charta
