About Me

Our band currently known as, “the dunderchiefs,” was formed in the late winter of 2005. The members include Mark Franke (drums), Nick Reetz (guitar), and Bennett Jones (bass/vocals). Due to lack of a quality practice room, we practiced in our high school’s band room where they had a drum set, and some microphones which we didn’t have at the time. We started out with a strong interest in classic rock groups from the early to mid-seventies. Nick Reetz, the current guitarist of our band, started writing some guitar riffs that ended up slowly becoming the first of our band’s original music. These songs in the early stage of our band include: Longport, The Jam and The Fog primarily. After awhile Bennett put down some money on a drum set, which opened up opportunities for our band. Due to a limited knowledge of show booking, in the spring we hosted a “mini show” in the garage of Bennett’s house and introduced their friends and fans to the new music they had been working on including those mentioned earlier. Weeks after that, we entered into the Mosinee battle of the bands, and took pride in gaining a small following although they didn’t receive first place. After that, things all started to fall into place. We started meeting more bands in the community and building lifelong musical friendships with other musical acts in the area. Thanks:
We would like to present a thanks to the following:
God, parents, listeners, "real" music supporters, All of our friends who tag along to each and every show. You know who you are: Geoff, Curly, Molly, and many others. Late nights at Denny's after shows, is what we live for. _Thanks for making shows so much fun.
