WE HAVE A NEW GUITARIST BUT... HE'S OUR DRUMMER!!! Some guitarist named Gary said he'd play drums for us. He's from HY80 and is now our Drummer!!!We formed in '96 doing garagey punk, featuring Deirdre -V-, Butter -G-, Kevin -D-, and Adrian -B-. Adrian just came off his bloody divorce from NJ OI greats, Those Unknown. Butter and Kevin came from Dead Squash, and were playing in the Ferguson Five. It was Deirdre's 1st outing.
We practiced alot at Tasty Fish Studios on the Lower East Side and didn't do many shows. Then Adrian decided he had had enough of the punk rock world. We looked for a bassist, including Deirdre's sis and Butter's bro, but;by '98 the band had fallen apart.
Kevin went on to form the magnificent HY80 with his brother and sister and some guy named Gary. Then he and his bro also joined the Super Karaoke Fun Time Band, spearheaded by Ottis Ball.
Deirdre and Butter kept the name and occasionally did the open-mic thing, and a couple acoustic shows, at various locations such as Uncle Joes in Jersey City, The Orange Bear in Manhattan, and Pete's Candy Store in Brooklyn. Butter was also playing in The Racket.
2003 was our most prolific year, we put out some demos, and were on the John Quincy Adams comp on Umbilical Records. Trevor from d.i.h.d., a label that does mainly cassette releases, liked our disregard for fidelity, and put us on his BASEMENT RECORDINGS VOL 4 cassette. d.i.h.d. JUST put out an Observers casette.
