BRAIN REGIMENT NOW ON iTUNES!!!!
"Brain Regiment is releasing the six-song EP Dissolution — and the title is apt, seeing as how the band is breaking up. As with previous releases, its pop hooks are covered in grimy melodicism and rough-hewn textures that conjure Dinosaur Jr., Guided by Voices and Built to Spill. Of note here is the seven-minute ominous drone "South City L," whose staticky melody is an interesting cross between Peter Gabriel and Sonic Youth." -- Riverfront Times March 2007 review of the CD Dissolution... available RIGHT HERE or HERE or at AMAZON.COM .
From 2003 to 2007, Brain Regiment fused together elements of lo-fi pop, fuzzed-out rock and dark folk sounds with mysterious, introspective lyrics.
Brain Regiment played shows throughout the Midwest, with the honor of performing alongside such acts as Brian Jonestown Massacre, Head of Femur, Marah, The Waxwings, Immortal Lee County Killers, Hockey Night and others. The band's final performance was March 31, 2007.
Both of Brain Regiment's two CD releases -- the 2005 debut EP Ancient Spaceman and just-released EP Dissolution -- are available at Vintage Vinyl in St. Louis and online by clicking HERE or HERE .

"Brain Regiment turns on a dime from Americana folksiness to crunchy guitar." --Amanda Doyle, thecommonspace.org
"'Ancient Spaceman' (is) an assured and enjoyable debut album on which (Brain Regiment) steps beyond its influences and confirms its musical identity." --Steve Pick, STL Post-Dispatch GET OUT section
"The band's take on alt-country/roots rock has a definite psychedelic feel to it that is shaped by singer/songwriter Corey Saathoff's rough-hued lyricism and guitarist Jack Jacobsen's fluid and effects-laden leads, both of which combine to form songs that stick with you as much as they resonate with you." --Jeff York, Dividing By Zero Will Get You Nowhere
