My name is Genevieve but with no end of shortenings, alternatives and bizarre forum nicknames I really don't mind what you call me.
I am student at Aston University studying biology though have been on placement for the last year with Severn Trent Water up in Nottingham. Final year of my degree resumes in October. I play the cello semi-professionally and music is a big part of my life. I was chairman of the Aston University Music Society (2005-2006)and I am at the end of my 3rd year with the Birmingham Philharmonic Orchestra (www.bpo.org.uk). Only 22 years left until I get a lifetime award. ROFL. My other interests involve climbing (I go each week to the indoor wall at Moseley for clambering fun), belly-dancing (but no i won't give you a demonstration), Rocking and skanking (to Ska Ska-punk, Punk, Metal and classic legend tunes), writing (one day I WILL be a published novel author but for now my articles are what I write (see some in the blog... coming soon)), Colourful things (I am a colour junkie if it's bright enough I will buy it) and obviously spending vast quantities of time with my friends.
I'm told I make a good listener and I give good cuddles. That makes me happy because I like people to talk to me. I like to help and I like knowing people trust me in that way. There is no greater compliment. I am selective though as to who gets cuddles from me - I hate wimpish hugs with arms drapped around shoulders. Hugs should be pythonic - squeezy and full of feeling.
I wear my heart on my sleeve. I trust easily and hurt easily. But once that trust is gone there's no forgiving.
For the improverished student within you - I challenge you today to have no fear. Smoke one less cigarette, drink one less beer, walk up one flight of steps instead of taking the lift and save your money one quid at a time.
