I'm a student at Aston University, studying Accounting For Management (and it may or may not be as boring as it sounds). Despite the course, I love the place. I've made a load of great friends, and met my wonderful boyfriend there too so I owe it... I tend to spend my spare time at uni in the pub in the student union, and rather surprisingly, unlike my first year, generally find people I know in there regardless of when I turn up. I'm nearing the end of my work placement (thank god) and am muchly looking forward to getting back into the lazy student lifestyle (after having 6 weeks of lazing about doing nothing during August/September).
I love all things music related: Listening to it, playing it (or attempting to), listening to my really rather talented blokey Matt playing it, talking about it (I'm a reviewer for a metal news and reviews site) and spend all of my free time hanging about websites and forums of my favourite bands, I go to as many gigs and festivals as possible, and thusly my overdraft hates me. I really have to cut down this year.
I have changed my mind about Birmingham - I no longer think it's the most boring place on earth, and no longer wish to get away from it as quickly as possible; quite the opposite in fact! I hope to stick around for as long as possible (although who knows how long that will be with everyone nearing the end of uni now). Anyone who doesn't live in Birmingham - you're missing out!

at how uni manages to be full of 12 year olds, who have been alive 20 or so years. An awful lot of people need to grow the fuck up, and get a fucking clue.
