About Me

Born in Detroit, Michigan, Marc grew up with three siblings and spent most of his afternoons day-dreaming about one day working in the entertainment business. After graduating from high school he headed to Hollywood, California to pursue his dream. During his early years in LA, he befriended some of today’s superstars such as Martin Lawrence, TK Carter, and Cuba Gooding, Jr. in their early years before they became household names. Marc decided to move from the role of acting after he became tired of going to auditions for dope dealers and other criminal roles. After watching filmmakers like Spike Lee and Robert Townsend create roles for themselves and other minorities that didn’t depict the same old stereotypes, he decided to join the rank of writer/director. Marc realizes that his gift from God is to one day become the “Berry Gordy” of filmmaking by portraying inspirational and uplifting messages of all cultures.Upon obtaining a degree in filmmaking from the University of Southern California School of Cinema/Television, Mr. Cayce began his film career by starting a production company, which focuses on screenplays that depict positive and uplifting roles. This eventually led him to an independent producer slot with Orion/MPCA Pictures where he began a relationship with Steve Stabler, (Dumb & Dumber Producer) and Co-chairman of MPCA/Orion. Mr. Stabler taught Marc the fundamentals of feature film production.Mr. Cayce took a plunge into the independent film world after securing a small budget to direct a short film titled “NIKITA BLUES which was one of the finalists for the 1999 HBO Short Film Competition. Committed to producing quality entertainment, Marc compiled an extensive catalogue of screenplays that showcase exciting and intriguing images. In 2000, Marc finished the Feature Film version of NIKITA BLUES for theatrical release and recently finished shooting his second feature film FORBIDDEN FRUITS in the summer of 2004 Detroit, which Vivendi Universal Pictures & CodeBlack Entertainment has acquired for distribution.I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
