Cenobite was primarly founded at the end of 2001 in Budapest by Andi (vocals), Karesz (bass, vocals) and Porto (guitars). The original conception hasn't changed ever since: making az exigent, but against-all-trends, uncompromissed type of music, based on the foundation-stones of the early hungarian death/noisecore underground, Slow Fermenting and Dissect. After many changes in the lineup, the group's existence took serious turn in the summer of 2004, when the first own fitting room was hired, rehearsals became regular and the equipment came along. Guitarrist Sziszi and drummer Töpe joined the band this time. In 2005 came vocalist Milan, and bass guitarist José. The first gig was made this time, and the band recorded the first promo called Mental Eradication, which earned some very positive critics. The new year brought another change in the lineup, Milan decided to quit because of his other activities. After a little break female vocal has returned to Cenobite with Zsófi. Many gigs were made during the spring of 2006, and the new promo with 6 brutal songs got recorded as well.
