About Me

E.z.r.a. is born from a big dream to make music a full time activity, creating a personal style that gathers homogeneously different influences: from the new acoustic movement, to unplugged sessions from Seattle grunge bands, to a marked pop sensibility." Creativity should never be seen as a privilege, but a gift. The work of the artist is to listen to his own voice, concretize an artistic idea that has already pre-existed in him and divulge the message to the world outside." - E.z.r.a. said - "So for me to promote and radiate my music, is an important element in as much music is itself: it is the natural development of creativity, as well as the only way to be free from debt. I am here to give back to this gift, to give that which has been given to me, and because my gift, my way to be free from debt with my music is big, my echo should be immense. This is why I don't stop, or rather, I'm waiting that my ambition doesn't exceed my talent."E.z.r.a. was born artistically in 2004, and decided to give up life and work in the real world to focus on the things most important for him: selecting and gathering a part of his songs, recording an acoustic demo with 15 tracks on it entitled "The Consciousness To Be Alive". The element of doubleness in E.z.r.a.'s sound, in costant delicate equilibrium between alternative and pop, finds confirmation in its lyrics; in which, the necessity to communicate and the fear of communication itself is melded in a fight between opposites, in which can prevale the hermetic element of non-sense or the necessity and urgence to be heard, and to transmit a message through words explicit and a direct sound. After recording, E.z.r.a. and his band (Gwen Gift) embarked on a self-booked tour and played more than 60 gigs in just 9 months. Playing live doesn't interfere with songwriting and in the autumn of 2005 E.z.r.a. produced "All Secrets Come From Youth" , a new demo containing new songs and extracts from "The Consciousness To Be Alive". The new demo has attracted the attention of producer William Benedetti, with whom, in the spring of 2006, began recording E.z.r.a.'s first album, a work in progress. E.z.r.a and his new band (S.e.t.h. - Drums, T.e.x.x. - Bass, J.u.d.e. - Guitars) will be on tour again, since March 2007.
