About Me

"Me" is a popular pronoun used to refer to the speaker or writer. [Old English me].

I edited my profile with Thomas’ Myspace Editor V3.6 !

My Interests

Breaking out of my skin or feeling completely at ease inside of it. Actually recognizing the reality of thought over rocks, baskets and buildings. Building myself into a rocking basketcase and then simplifying into static. Circles. Of life. Like in Disney's animated classic, The Lion King (1994), now a Tony Award-winning musical on Broadway.

I'd like to meet:

Buddha and Marilyn Manson over coffee, with my lover from a former life.

Music:

the absentee, arcade fire, azure ray, bjork, blonde redhead, briertone, broken social scene, bright eyes, cloud cult, cursive, death cab for cutie, deftones, demo team, elliott smith, the good life, the faint, the flaming lips, frou frou, josh grondin, the hanks, headphones, hong kong six, le severance, leonard cohen, mates of state, modest mouse, mon frere, the new trust, no doubt, the notwist, the parson red heads, pedro the lion, pinback, postal service, radiohead, queen, sigur ros, simon & garfunkel, the smashing pumpkins, sufjan stevens, we attack at dawn, you me and iowa.

Movies:

Lost in Translation, The Royal Tenenbaums, Punch Drunk Love, Mulholland Drive, Little Miss Sunshine, The Neverending Story, The Incredibles, Crash, Love Actually, A Life Aquatic, Sin City, Magnolia, City of God, The Thumbsucker, The Chumscrubber, Broken Flowers, Mysterious Skin. Chris Farley because he was like Bob Marley but white, fat and unphilosophical. But he was a physical force of comedy and I love him. Bill Murray's the shit, as is Mr. Cruise. Will Ferrell's a fine fellow too. There's just too much goodness out there to absorb in one lifetime.

Television:

Arrested Development, Six Feet Under, Stella, Life Goes On.

Books:

Choke, Illusions, 1984, Atlas Shrugged, Survivor, A Tale of Two Cities, Preacher.

Heroes:

For attitude and consummate coolness, Jesse Custer. Throw in a little Jefferson for the politic, a little Gibbard and Oberst for the rock, and an infinity of Ron for the humanity. Mack Slevin, Josh Grondin and Max Baybak are my writing heroes. Zach Schrock is my artistic production hero. Ben Welch is my inspirational genius hero. Ashley Powell is my happy fun hero. Bryan, Shane and Phil are my kickass indie band heroes. My dad is my ethics and production hero. My mom is my warm-hearted and caring hero. Sage is my future hero. And we all have to be our own heroes if we're going to get anywhere, right? Get a move on it!
