The kid was going thru a lil' something, but it's GR8! No matter what life throws your way, it's senseless to dwell on the negative when there's soooo much positive waiting around the corner. Thanks to my LSs and friends who recognized that and pulled me up! Love you all :-)I've got my 2nd wind, and I'm ready to be OWT! Captiva Island, Florida Keys, Cozumel... and that's just the next few months... Bruhs, I'll see ya in Houston/Galveston for the Memorial weekend cruise... Roo-Oop... D-Dub & Tab, guess we won't be having B-ette weekend Part III, but we will kick it for old times' sake before the little one arrives (Hi Baby Greyson!).
My latest lesson on friends/associates:
If you want more out of life... If you want to do and be better... It's important to surround yourself with like- minded people. If you're hanging with a bunch of chickens, don't expect to ever soar. No matter how great you may truly be, when you are only associated with those who find comfort in mediocrity, you will never be more than...well, mediocre. You can (and should) still love these people, but for your own good, oftentimes you have to break away. Think about it. How often are you a positive influence rather than them being a negative influence? Those who don't WANT to soar cannot be taught to soar. Those who aren't COMMITTED to soaring will fall every time. ...Think about it...
On Relationships:
A man will make you a priority when he's ready, willing, and able to... If he's not all 3, he's not #1 ...
On Maturity: If a person has a near- death/traumatic experience and is STILL playing around with life and the people in his/her life, (s)he might not ever mature. If you're too grown for that, RUN--don't walk-- AWAY!!! Otherwise, you run the risk of wasting your life right along with him/her. Life's too short ;-)

I'm living life, and I'm learning every day! No kids yet...unless you count my Golden Retriever. I'm originally from Dallas but lived in Chocolate City for 4 years while I completed my studies at Howard University-- The Mecca*Capstone*Hilltop*Birthplace of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Now I'm down in Baton Rouge working in pharma sales and striving to work myself to the top! I miss Dallas...hard being away from fam & friends. SHOUT OUT TO THE KARAOKE/TABOO DINNER PARTIES @ MY CRIB! JENNIFER- the bartender***MICHELLE- the entertainment***LAUREN- the Taboo queen...but what's a queen without her king? BEANO- the Taboo king! I'm giving BR a try... and I'll have a lot of folks visiting this summer, so that's cool...
