Winner of the Berlin Film Festival's Silver Bear for Direction in 1975, 'Overlord' is a spectacularly shot meditation on the sacrifice and expendability of soldiers during the biggest military operation of all times. Cooper shot the movie with Stanley Kubrick's acclaimed cinematographer John Alcott (Clockwork Orange, The Shining), and together they achieve a unique and terrifying vision of war, intercutting new narrative footage of a shy young soldier joining the army with truly incredible stock footage from the Imperial War Museum's archives.
