About Me

Callum from South Yorkshire (United Kingdom) has established himself as one of the regions most promising singer songwriters. The album Abandoned released in 2005 has received critical success and commercial release through www.cd-wow.com.As a performer Callum was both a member and main songwriter of band Absolution between 2000-2002. The band had songs released on compilation albums alongside songs by Britney spears, shaggy and A1. The guys also supported 911 and the Allstars at the Sheffield Hallam Arena in January 2002 and opened the IAAF International Athletics meet at Don Valley Stadium in July of the same year.After the band split in December 2002 Callum focused on his songwriting taking a rest from performing. Callums efforts paid off when he was runner up in the 2003 UK song writing competition and 2003 Andelle (USA) music contest. Callum was also a finalist in both the 2003 and 2005 Unisong contest and winner of the Sheffield Mercury song contest in 2004.In 2004 Callum co-wrote and sang the track In Another Life which became an Italian club hit when remixed and promoted bu Milleville the guys who were behind Black Box (Ride on Time, Fantasy) in the late 1980s.Callum has co-written chart hits for Sally Glennon the songs Don't Say Its Over and Hearts Beat As One were top ten European Country music airplay hits in Ireland, Denmark and Italy and made the top 100 in the pan European chart. Callum also enjoyed top 30 Japanese album chart success when his song Come For Air was featured on Sundras 2005 What Would They Say CD. The same song also gained a release in 2006 when it was covered by Swiss artist Jacqueline Boulin. Callum has several songs on hold with artists worldwide and has signed several publishing deals in the USA and Europe.One act to watch out for are AREA 15! Callum has co-written the debut single 'CONTROL FREAK' that looks set to chart on the official UK top 40! Produced by Morrisey's producer the single has the full support of Channel 4's POP-WORLD!Currently Callum is writing and recording a new dance/rock album and planning a promotional tour to coincide with its release in the summer of 2007!.
