For the last year, the five-piece Dallas based rock band known as The Farewell Drive, made up of Michael Willard, Chris Majors, Jin Desabelle, Sheila Ludeke, and Kavon Noorizadeh, have been bound and determined to claw, fight and scrap their way into your stereo, and they are doing so in grand fashion. Since their inception back in June of ’06, theFD has been winning the hearts of many with their passion filled and energetic live shows, and now, after recording a 3 song rough track demo to test the waters, The Farewell Drive have dove head first into their first EP dubbed The Diary of Scars. Already highly anticipated, they believe that if the success of their 3 song demo is any indication, then their EP should help put this modern rock band right where they want to be, on the mainstream map. They have high hopes and expectations, but they truly feel that the late nights, depleted bank accounts, the anguish, and emotional rollercoasters will all be worth it.
So what does The Farewell Drive mean?? Look no further than “One Day’s Tomorrowâ€, a call to arms anthem to the kid in all of us. Not to take life so serious, not to work our entire lives to die alone, and most importantly, not to forget those who were special in your life, “their one day’s tomorrow could be your one day’s too late…â€, pretty serious stuff coming from a group of young men and woman who pride them selves in NOT taking life too serious. With that being said, the future looks bright through the eyes of these five, as they look forward to bringing their message, their music into your life, through your stereo, or at a live show, just for you.
