Fighting for the underdog; Believing in animal rights, but being too much of a loser to stop eating meat; building computers; cycling; motorcycles; channel surfing--esp. b/c it makes my roommate want to kill herself and gives me seizures like that kid in Japan who watched too much Anime; reading; the free software movement; trying to live simply; geography and environmental sciences, and cartography; saving animals from harm; having low self-esteem :, ( (My friend Akbi wrote most of this about me and I think that it's pretty damn good and funny.)
An ex-girlfriend once said something really thoughtful about me in her "Heroes" section of her MySpace page, "The everyday people...who stand up for those who's voices tend to go unheard, who give even though they are struggling to get by, who do what's right even though it's harder..." Funny thing is that I believe that she meant it, but now the truth reveals itself--that it wasn't enough for her to stay. I guess that she needs someone who's a little less caring, a bit more shallow and a whole lot more convenient geographically. But I guess that she did the right thing by leaving me, because she could never stand up for what she believes and I could. So to sum it up: I'd like to meet people who don't treat others as disposable.
