I am absoultely wild about my crazy, lovable friends and their kids, my wonderfully supportive family, talking dogs, traveling ANYWHERE, photography, movies, and Mac and PS2 shooter games like "Call of Duty" and "Medal of Honor". Finally got a PSP, but haven't mastered it yet....uh, did I mention that I never wanna grow up?
The first person to ever eat an egg. Think about it...how brave did that person have to be to see that thing drop out and then decide...hmmm, wonder what that tastes like?
Most haunting piece of music EVER written....Lakme's Flower Duet. I get lost in it every time I hear it. On the more modern front...Indie bands and performers, both locally and nationally (see right side of page) are just too cool. Music that doesn't blow my head off is all good. Gotta throw props to DROPMORE SCARLET, JANESVILLE, THE LOCALS, MR BLOTTO, SEAN WIGGINS, HALF MAD POET, THE KIMI HAYES BAND, and THE PLAY DOCTORS. Just saw TOXIC AUDIO in Vegas...most amazing acapella group out there!
Big loud, CGI-loaded action flicks, sci-fi flicks with aliens, and atmospheric, scary haunted-house flicks will pull me into a theatre every time--- the 1960's version of "The Haunting" is one of my favorite all-timers! I've also got a very soft spot for "West Side Story" (spent many hours dancing around the living room to that soundtrack!). However, I couldn't live without Netflix because it gets me to see all the little independent films and documentaries that I'd normally miss on the big screen.
Observing the human psyche under glass just fascinates me. Psychologically speaking, you can't go wrong with shows such as "American Idol", "Survivor" or "The Amazing Race". I can't get enough of them! I also like "House", "ER", "Eureka" and I would be happy watching 24-hour marathons of the old "Twilight Zone". Oh, and I also became addicted to the series "Rome".
Loved reading "Animals in Transition", which compares the autistic brain and the animal brain; recently gotten into reading James Patterson's books; LOVED "Devil in the White City", a non-fiction book that didn't know it wasn't fiction; and will also read almost any sci-fi time-travel novel, but only if it's set in the past. No one knows that I actually have a huge collection of time-travel books. (Hmmm...guess they know now, eh?) Really got into "Marie Antoinette" by Antonia Frasier. Did that poor woman get a bum deal in life, or what?! Just finished reading "Frozen" by Evanston author, Jay Bonansinga.
