The New Truth were an alternative band based in the North East of England. They formed in October 2004 when long time friends Gary Holmes and Michael Richardson (both formerly of The Conscious) teamed up with Darryl Todd and Taz Galsinh. However they proved to be something of a problematic band, with one thing after the other hindering their progress. Now after nearly 2 years they are no more. And so we have the birth of Dead Miles.
Dead Miles are picking up where The New Truth left off, but with a new direction, new attitude, and of course a new name.
Since the New Truth days the band have introduced 2 new members. First of all Alex James was brought in on bass to replace Taz in May 2006. And most recently John Aspinall, from Gary's other band Triad, joined on lead guitar in January 2007. Some Triad songs will now be performed by Dead Miles.
Dead miles are currently working on a number of new tracks and hopefully some more recordings will follow very soon.

BASS PLAYER SORTED: Taz is stepping in as temporary bassist for the remaining gigs this year. Alex will be returning to the band in early 2008.
