The Einstein Twins

About Me

The Einsteins Twins formed in 1644. In its medieval days, the band went uder the name of "Ginger Beards Anonymous", but with a growing concern from what few fans they had, they were forced to change it to something that vaguely made sense, so settled somewhat inexplicably with 'The Einstein Twins'. They have so far released two albums; the first "Hamish McHaggis and the Rankoes on the Flankoes", was at first heavily criticised by the press, but has since gone to underground acclaim, and is now held in high esteem and almost cult-like reverance by a few dental surgeons. It's low-fi sound, put many off, as did the standard of playing, (which was pretty basic), and also the fact that it was made up entirely of cover versions, meant that it was a commercial dissapointment, but those who listened heard something special. The band took about half a year to follow it up, with the majestic "The Rainforest Effect", with the standard of playing and recording greatly improved, largely due to the talents of the drum programmer, who also doubles as lead vocalist/lead guitarist (who will not be named here). The Daily Bugle said "Never has there been an album that has made people react in such different ways...". The album's most notorious track, is a jack johnson medly, with new lyrics, describing his craving for nicotine, (which he eventually gets in the form of a pancake), included in the song is a detailed recipe for making a 'nicotine pancake', although listeners, would be wise not to follow the instructinos. The Einstein Twins are currently on a break, but have promised a new album soon to be called "We Want To Be The Elephant", and is rumoured to see them advance still further into the realms of the bizzare musical style they are creating.
