Explosive Melbourne band ANTISKEPTIC is set to headline an amazing line-up, including several home-grown Eyre Peninsula (EP) bands. Antiskeptic, now playing together for seven years has recently re-emerged with new energy with their Monuments EP. The three piece band of Nick on drums, Andrew on guitar and lead vocals and; Sean on bass and backing vocals are set to wow EP punters. The band have a huge following on the EP and members of the EP bands such as ABEYANT, OMEGA UNDERGROUND AND PICTURES OF US are chomping at the bit to meet with and play on the same stage as Antiskeptic.
The NEWS HOT OFF THE PRESS this week is that the ‘get up and go’ high energy Melbourne band MAMMAL have committed to OTT and are heading down under to SA after a successful stint in Adelaide recently. Since they burst onto the Australian music scene in early 2006; Nick, Pete, Zane and Ezekiel have produced a sound which has been described as organic, a living and seething expression of true punk rock sensibilities. In addition the dynamic and explosive Adelaide band FRAUD MILLIONAIRES have just been confirmed in the line-up for OTT. Underscored by the unique vocals and soulful to humorous lyrics of John Roast (original member of “Seeds of Babylon’ along with Tom Victory), you can hear the Reggae, Dub, Dancehall, D&B, Ska, Funk and Rock influences, but the band has created a distinctly original sound. This popular Adelaide band should be a crowd pleaser, setting the scene early on in the evening,Streaky Bay Area School bands EPIDEMIC YOUTH and ASYLUM are equally excited. Just as the POETIKOOL JUSTICE boys who are set to play for their second time at OTT. These popular boys from the western suburbs of Adelaide have developed quite a following on the EP in recent years. This five piece band produce a catchy fusion of Hard Funky*Reggae*Hip Hop which is influenced musically by a wide range of rootsy underground styles. The Poetikool boys come in third in the line-up and will get the crowd primed and ready for the two Melbourne acts later on in the night.Kicking off the gig is the all girl rock band from Saint Jo’s in Port Lincoln ABOUT WHO. The edgy B’BOYS, those seriously amazing rap kids from Ceduna, are rounding off a busy Youth Week to perform early at the gig by showcasing their talents.Port Lincoln bands Pictures Of Us, Omega Underground And Abeyant round out the amazing line-up of eleven acts.So pack your bags, throw in your swag, and prepare to head over to the Wild West Coast … the place you have to be in April 08 for the gig that is on the tip of everyone’s lips in SOUTH OZ right now.If you require any further information about OFF THE TRACKS please contact Jayne Holland on 0427 601 156 or 86261926. email: [email protected] or [email protected]
