About Me

I love the outdoors and the changing seasons. I love to sweat at the gym and while I'm hiking up a volcano. Sitting and listening to really good music is great, too. I'm trying to be less negative about things - life is too short to let stupid people ruin my experience. Now if only there weren't so many stupid people around! ;-)
I used nUCLEArcENTURy.COM for the format of this profile.

My Interests

Doing the math

For some time now, the Bush administration has been admonishing the public to not be "armchair quarterbacks" in the Iraq war.  The administration constantly says we have to "stay the course" and ...

Illegal to know the truth?!

For years now, and especially more during the runup to the elections, we hear President Bush constantly telling us how much safer we are now than we used to be, and we see him using Congress to progre...

Moderation?!

I almost ran my car off the road yesterday, which would have been especially disappointing since I just spent $650 on new tires.  What could have made me come so close to losing control...

History, Religion, and our President

Many years ago, waves of European immigrants left their homelands to come to what became the United States.  Although they came for many reasons, one of the most important was that they longed to...

Friends

I admit that I'm a bit puzzled about something:  what in the hell is up with all the slutty bimbos and thoroughly average bands on MySpace always sending me friend requests?&n...

Please let that poor girl rest already!

I went to the gym yesterday morning.  It had been four days since I had a chance to work out, and I was starting to feel like my blood was becoming sluggish.   I relish my gym time.&nbs...

Truth in Advertising

I have this great coffeemaker - it's stylish, fast, makes good coffee... it even disperses the hot water over all the grounds so that you don't open it up and find that it only extracted that beautifu...
