addam began performing as a rock drummer in the late 80's, with no formal musical training, at age 16. He began fusing glam, new wave, punk, and gothic influences with the band Foxxen (formerly Makeup and Mayhem) - the band devloped a strong local following in the ny/nj club scene with it's uncommonly catchy songs, unforgettable shows, and danceable beats. Foxxen was signed to a development deal with CBS records in 1990, and began recording an ep at Sanctuary studios with producer Richard Cohen. The studio project was aborted in early 1991 when Foxxen's irreplaceable bass player was called to active duty after operation desert storm was initiated. addam left the band nearly a year later and soon joined another project, Masque Theatre; he penned the first version of "Pop Culture Fanatic" at that time. That band suffered internal conflicts which again resulted in an unfinished studio project, despite some regional commercial radio support (Mick Ryder, WSBG).
addam relocated to Boston in 1994, where he began his career as a nightclub and general business disc jockey. He sold his drumkit around this time, and in 1995 took to performing strictly as a dj while nursing his melodic and lyrical ideas as an internal, personal music diary. A decade later addam was introduced to the Reason synthesizer and sequencing software, and subsequently (still with no formal training) discovered a means by which he could begin to express that internal music. He gave his own voice to the melodies, and began composing and arranging the instrumental layers to support them.
Dj / producer Owen Tate recorded and mixed "Could It Be" for inclusion on the Boy Ball Records compilation "Owen Tate 06/06/06", which was released (appropriately) on June 6th, 2006. He is also co-producing an ep with addam, scheduled for completion in spring of 2007.
