About Me

RADIO:
"In 1962, Marilyn Monroe died...
in 1963 John F. Kennedy was shot...
but in 1964 the world was given a new hope:
a baby-boy was born in the heart of Copenhagen,
and his name was:
PHILLIP MARCO VALLENTIN! "
;-)
Back in the mid '80s, this was how I opened my daily breakfast show, every morning at 07:00, at what was then Copenhagens most listened to local radio: "The Voice".
I played vinyl: 12" maxi singles, albums, and 7" singles, and the music and it's sequence was selected by ME!
Oh man, those where the days...
My opening jingle ("in 1962...") was read by a true legend in radio broadcasting, the man with the deepest voice in the industry: Bill Mitchell .
But my very first radiobroadcast was back in 1973, and was for Danmarks Radios "Børneradio". I was only 9 years old, and with journalist Vibeke Herbert on the backseat (producer Poul Neesgaard was wise enough, NOT to go himself!), I tried to land OY-RYH, a CESSNA 172, at Roskilde Airport, just outside Copenhagen. That day, the wind was peaking at 20 knots, and I had NO fighting chance of getting it right! But it was quite entertaining - and pretty good radio ;-)
DJ'ing:
In 1982, at the age of 16, I began my venture into Club-DJ'ing. This was MANY years before being a DJ had become the pop-phenomena it has become today!
I worked for Juliana's Sound Services LTD and Bacchus International ( - both based in London) and over the years i either played or maintained/serviced, their exclusive nightclubs, typically located at international five star hotels (Sheraton, Hilton, Hyatt, Intercon, etc...) in Copenhagen, Gothenburg, Stockholm, Oslo, Bergen, Stavanger, Bodo, Cairo, Damascus, Manama (Bahrain), Dubai, Abu Dahbi (The United Arab Emirates) and Banjul/Bakau (The Gambia) to name but a few.
In 1984 I was pronunced "One of Denmarks three best DJs" by Peter Dupont from the magazine Hi-Fi & elektronik.
A year later, I became second in the national BASF dj-competition, and won a trip to London.
I still spin a few tracks now and again, but my collection is very Old School; I play Jazz-Funk, Soul, and primarily BLACK music from the 80s and 90s. I enjoy executing looong beatmixes, to keep my crowd happy and dancing, and preferres to work with Denon decks.
pre-Photography:
These days I don't do radio any longer: The "art" suddenly disappeared and was replaced by pseudo-random music-programming software ("Neglector"!), that pleases the programe directors, and treats the listeners as a mass of identical fools - unfortunately!
So I changed media - to photography - and I LOVE it ;-)

PHOTOGRAPHY:
I have always enjoyed shooting. It began when I was a kid, with my mums Kodak Instamatic! Then a second-hand Zeiss-Icon, where I developed the B/W rolls in a Patterson tank, and blew up the pictures with an Opemus 6 enlarger. That was good and (almost) clean fun!
I moved on with Canon AE-1, EOS RT, EOS 20D and these days the exciting new EOS 40D.
My first (payed) publication was in July 1985 for the Danish magazine "Ny Elektronik", and was a report from the DIFA trade exhibition in Essen, Germany.
I find Photography a truly fine media. It's got all the ingredients that I like: Girls, cables, gadgets, adrenaline and most important; the posibility of continuing to express myself artistically ;-)
There is also both the technological challenge of getting the f**king computer to work properly (!), and on a human level, the chemistry between myself and the model. I think interpersonal skills are VERY important here, allthough this is almost becomming a thing of the past; in our moderne day society, lies and bullshiting have never EVER been more easy, than with the WWW.
ETXEA ERASMUS EXECUTIVE GUEST SUITES:
In March 2006, at my very first stay at this absolutely unique hotel, I managed to capture a picture of my (then) girlfriends high heeled shoes, while they were sitting in the frame of the "playroom" window. They were a true fetish "classic": a pair of X18's from Mr. Spyrou at The Little Shoe Box" in Islington, North London.
After showing the picture to the two owners of the hotel, P.T.Tobin (Bo) and K.T.Robinson (Kermit), they instantly decided to use it as a promotional postcard, and of the 10.000 cards that were printed and distributed to selected Cafes in Amsterdam, now only very few are left...
The picture/postcard also inspired the French Mélie Mélo to write the erotic BDSM novel: "Le Demande". You may read it HERE
The picture/postcard has also been published in both SKIN TWO (# 56) and LateXtra (# 25), and can also be seen in the latest edition (issue #04) of THE LONDON FETISH MAP
For more info about this quite unique and "kinky" hotel, that has become my FAVORITE Amsterdam residence and location, please check: www.amsterdam37.com
DEMASK:
In May 2006, I was commissioned by Steve English to do a two-day catalogue shoot, with more than 200 items, for the worlds largest Fetish company: DeMask
With more than 2500 shots, this is up to now my most efficient shoot ever!, and the entire crew was an absolute DREAM to work with ;-)

My Interests

right now: Fashion/Fetish Photography, and studio/location lighting techniques. Medium format photography (645, 6x7 and 6x8)
But also:
women (!)
good food, vine and cigars,
Avionics, IFR, cat2 ILS approaches, HF Comm's,
DJ'ing / Beat-mixing (Old Scholl 80's Jazz-Funk),
more to follow...

I'd like to meet:

Interesting and open minded people who has something positive to offer/share on more than one level. This could be professional, human, intellectual, and sexual!
And new models, new friends, more models, old and new colleagues, EVEN more models, old and new clients - and perhaps my future soulmate ?!?

Until about a year ago, I had a partner, who enjoyed to model and pose for me. This was not only great fun, but also very rewarding for both of us.
As photographer and publisher Peter Czernichfrom MARQUIS says:
"If you are lucky enough to have a fetish model as your partner, you can shoot at all times and at all places. Fast forward learning so to speak..."
So I would love my future partner to have at least SOME degree of model ambition, being a "closet exhibitionist", or at least having a mild desire to tease me through the lens of my camera: In my eyes, a model/photographer-couple make a perfect and quite exciting team :-)

I really hate LIES!
Allthough telling the truth DO causes both "friction" and "smoke", I now only want friends / collagues / lovers, who have the balls to be honest.
This is really my rule No. One!

Humor and sex are two very important things in my life!
I feel humor, irony, and (loving-) sarcasm is as necesary as food, to "vent" all the bullshit one faces in present day society. And in my eyes, a good wild f**k is much better than any SSRI!
( - know what I mean?)

A handfull new clients wouldt be VERY nice. Prefferably some who appreciates quality...
"PRETTY Please - with sugar on the top?" [Harvey Kartel as Winston 'The Wolf' Wolfe in "Pulp Fiction"]
...and who understands, that quality only take slightly longer! They would't necesarily have to be from my part of the world, where the in-famous Jante Law rules: In my jobs I have always traveled - and loved it:
"HAVE LIGHTS - WILL TRAVEL"

---

A few of my favorite quotes:

"Whatever it takes, to get you through life..."

"Lighting is half art, half science..."
[Bill Hurter, editor of "Rangefinder"
and "Focus on Imaging" magazines]

"Light - and Attitude..."
[Playboy Photographer Stephen Wayda ]

"I'm still learning..."
[Michelangelo 1475 1564]

"I prefer the idea of dressing for sex,
rather han undressing"
[fellow DeMask Photographer Trevor Watson]

(therefore:)

"I would never, EVER, photograph a completely naked woman!"

- and finally:

In one ofAbsolute Dannysprevious catalogues,
owner/founder Danny Linden, once wrote about the French photographerChristophe Mourthe :

"He has the abillity, to transform ordinary women,
into godesses from another planet..."

Now THAT'S what I call a nice compliment!
- and that is also my ambition as a photographer!

Oh, and I just heard this great quote, from my friend Ffilip Bolton, who does set lighting in Hollywood:
"Without lights - it's just radio!"

Music:

"From Thomaso Albinoni, to ZZTop" - really!
I'm a succer for 80's jazz-funk. Much of my musical inspiration came from listening to Radio Luxumbourg "208" , on AM mediumwave when I was a kid.
A few of my MANY favorite artists:
James Brown, Tom Browne, Incognito, Blacknuss Allstars, Commodores, Driza Bone, Jamiroquai, Maxwell, Grover Washington Jnr, St Germaine, Soel and almost every track on the "Mastercut" series from Beechwood Music...
(allthough my skin is white, my musical heart is BLACK!)
I love Christian Aguilera for her voice AND looks, but get nausia when I hear Celine Dion - PLEASE save me!!! I like light "Dinner Jazz" and some Blues, but NO Country!
I'm totally hooked on Cammille Jones': "The Creeps" in LeFedders re-mix - that's SUCH a cool track.
My models LOVE to dance and pose to "I like the way you move" by Body Rockers - we used it to great succes at the DeMask shoot in May 2006, and now it's has almost become a posing classic ;-)

Heroes:

Heros? Here in 2007? - not too many I'm affraid!!!
I really have to think about this...
President W. Bush perhaps? ( - joking!!!)

What is a HERO anyway... Some kind modern day Robin Hood ?
Does it have to be a man? Hmmm...
How about:
Leonardo Davinci,
Neil Armstrong,
Sting,
Bono,
Hugh "Hef" Hefner,
Oscar Wilde &
Søren Kirkegaard, ?
I think they'd do for me
- for now...
