About Me

Our Story So Far... TOMMY GRIFFITHFrom the early age of three, Tommy would perform for family and friends when visiting their homes singing songs like Shake Rattle and Roll and Amazing Grace. As the years passed, his interest in music grew and he formed rock and roll groups like The Brevadeers and The Deluxe 7. Then his music interests changed from rock and roll to country and he formed a group with family members called The Blue Rain Trio, consisting of his brother David and cousin Neal. They played for many local institutions and stages such as the Country Music Jamboree in Charleston and the Mountain State Opry in Milton, West Virginia.Tommy then decided to start his own gospel family group called The Griffith Gospel Singers. They were regulars on local gospel radio stations WVHF and WKLC for seven years on Saturday mornings. They continue to perform together and singing in churches and auditoriums two to six times a week in West Virginia, Ohio and Virginia. They have also made four albums featuring many songs written by Tommy.KATHY CROSSKathy, too, sang for family and friends and was so taken by music she joined the band Cross Country entertaining at clubs and fairs all over West Virginia. She was a member of her high school show choir and won all-state three years in a row receiving a scholarship to Alderson Broaddus College. Kathy later sang with the West Virginians as they toured the eastern United States. She also made an album and video with them. Kathy competed in the Wrangler Showdown where she won first place. She had the privilege of recording a single, Lies (an original song) for Comstock Records, which was released in their European promotion.TOGETHERTommy and Kathy met in the summer of 2001 at a benefit in Charleston, West Virginia. Shortly thereafter, they formed the duo of Griffith and Cross. They can be seen singing for fairs, festivals, conventions, parties, and benefits (such as the Cancer Society Walk for Life) in West Virginia, Ohio, Kentucky and Virginia. Their spectacular natural talent and hard work during these performances capture their listeners through their vocal deliveries and stage presence, which entertains audiences of every venue.Griffith and Cross have opened with some of Nashvilles finest: Kenny Chesney; Daryl Worely; Jo Dee Messina; Gretchen Wilson; Kathy Mattea; Josh Turner; The Coasters; The Drifters; Emerson Drive; John Conley; Exile; Josh Turner; Tracy Lawrence; and many others. Presently they are entertaining throughout the Tri-State area.
