I moved to Oklahoma from the Philadelphia area in 2002 and married a crazy Texan in 2003. Fortunately she has enough spunk (and brains) for both of us. She keeps me on my toes and thankfully she doesn't take me too seriously. I really like it here in Tulsa. I've definately got more room to breathe and storm season is pretty exciting! Some day, as I am already an aspiring meteorologist, I hope to learn how to be a certified storm chaser. Of course I miss some things about Philly, but Tulsa has some good stuff going for it too. I like the laid-back, country flair that seems to flow through this culturally diverse town.Currently I am a student pursuing a Master's degree in the Counseling Psychology program at Northeastern State University. My wife and I are ministry leaders of Celebrate Recovery at Highland Park Christian Church in Tulsa. So far it has been a real blessing to serve together with many other great people in this life changing ministry. We get to be on the front lines of witnessing people's hearts and lives transformed. It's pretty awesome. More info about CR can be found at CelebrateRecovery.com.I am also a drummer at my church and I play percussion in a band called HP3 that plays around Tulsa. We play an eclectic mix of classic rock and some new stuff, but not in a way you've ever heard it done before. This band has afforded me many great opportunities to play in interesting places like a popular Tulsa pub, an early 20th century mansion, and an old school built by Rockefeller that has been restored and turned into a winery. I used to play in a funk-rock band called Pudding as well as for a guy named Paul Massary when I was in Philly. The guys from Pudding are probably all rock stars now. Paul is currently slugging it out doing the singer/songwriter thing down in Austin. Some of the music Paul and I recorded is on this site and on his myspace page, check it out when you get a chance and let him know what you think.
